About FOVEC : Fair Oaks Village Enhancement Committee

About FOVEC

The Fair Oaks Village Enhancement Committee (FOVEC) is striving to develop and implement a plan of physical improvements that will create an environment in which businesses can prosper and flourish and enable Fair Oaks Village to increase its viability as a thriving business district.

FOVEC came into existence in 2007 to improve the attractiveness and viability of the village as a unique business center. It is made up of business owners, property owners and representatives from Sacramento County, Supervisor Roberta McGlashan’s office (until 2012 boundry change) and now Supervisor Susan Peter’s Office and other stakeholders. FOVEC operates with the support of the Fair Oaks Water District, the Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District, and several Sacramento County departments and other stakeholders.

FOVEC is not a neighborhood association, a merchant’s association or the Chamber of Commerce. These all exist separately.

Our focus is primarily on physical improvements that make Fair Oaks Village a better place to spend time and do business.

Committee meetings are held the first and third Wednesdays of each month. In an effort to be more available for community input, meetings have been scheduled at various times, days and locations. 8:30 to 10 am in the Old Fair Oaks Library southeast of the Fair Oaks Community Clubhouse at 4200 Temescal Street in the heart of the Village remains our base schedule but please email us to verify as we have been regularly switching the second meeting to evenings at a different location(s) to better accommodate community input.
